We were delighted to partner with our friends at the Van Leer Foundation to launch their powerful new Family Voices Toolkit at The Bottle Factory, with colleagues across housing and impact investing, from London and overseas.
This first-of-a-kind, free community engagement resource, commissioned by Van Leer, and designed and piloted by ZCD Architects, empowers developers, investors, and policymakers to build quality housing that’s truly family-friendly.
It provides practical guidance for integrating family perspectives into housing design, addressing the unique needs of young children and their caregivers, and driving long term social change for these families.
At Fabrix we know from experience that taking the time to listen to ‘harder to reach’ members of the community is transformative for our projects. And that they are always better for it.
Big thanks to Thames Distillers for hosting us in their fantastic gin distillery and bar, which sits at the heart of The Bottle Factory community. It really was the perfect location to kick-off the launch, ahead of a full day of knowledge sharing, hosted by Earls Court Development Company.
Here’s to helping the industry ensure the needs of families are properly addressed and create thriving, inclusive communities!
It’s been a massive privilege to play a part in the evolution of this critical new engagement tool, alongside a fantastic group of partners who have been piloting the tool over the last 12 months ahead of its launch:
Patrizia Global Partners, Jonathan Rose Companies, Earls Court Development Company, Bridges Fund Management, Hub and Ardstone Capital Partners.
