Symes Mews, Camden, a beautiful 10,500 sq ft former furniture warehouse arranged over ground and two upper floors was purchased in November 2018. After acquisition, the building has undergone an extensive refurbishment to transform the building into a sustainable design-led workspace. Now complete, the refurbishment has delivered a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ accreditation for sustainability.
Following two successful planning applications for change of use from D1 gallery use to B1 office accommodation, achieving permission to comprehensively remodel and extend the building. The refurbishment focused on stripping back the building to expose its incredible heritage features, whilst combining this character with modern installations including a new reception and courtyard extensions, impressive structural floor glazing as well as new perimeter glazing and an enhanced lighting scheme to deliver amazing volume, light and height into the already expansive space. The building has two private courtyard areas with planting design by award-winning landscape designers.
