The Bottle Factory
We had the pleasure of hosting the local collective SUMweekly at the Bottle Factory, as part of our ‘Free for Purpose’ initiative, who treated us to their unplugged, Tiny Desk-inspired live music performance and recording – SUM Sessions.
The guest for SUMsessions was the incredibly talented YAZ, a captivating singer based in South-East London. With a background that spans from France to Palestine, YAZ’s music is a fusion of traditional Arabic and soulful sounds, drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Fairouz, Yebba, and icons of Chansons Françaises.
For this session, they’ve joined forces with the fantastic live music promotion group, Indigo Blue, which provides independent artists with the recognition they deserve.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Tessa Shaw @bigboyblooms for the exquisite flowers and to Studio 101 for their exceptional lighting support.
Main Vocals: YAZ
Oud: Ekin Öykener
Acoustic Guitar: Joel Dunning

“We’ve partnered and curated multiple events with Fabrix for over the past three years. SUM Sessions was another opportunity for us to partner and promote local musicians and artists who don’t necessarily get the chance to showcase their craft in a space like The Bottle Factory!”
