We’re used to seeing it all at TON 1.
Our monument-protected, 100-year-old film studio – now repurposed as state-of-the-art events space – is in constant demand for everything from film screenings and fashion shows to product launches and music festivals.
So it was a real treat to welcome back a very different but just as special booking in February – the 15th Seniors Fair organised by the Berlin Senate, the second to take place with us at Atelier Gardens.
Over 1,000 senior Berliners attended throughout the day, presented with a range of stands and displays, focussed on all aspects of aging.
Visitors had access to complementary hearing and eyesight tests, as well as assessments for diabetes levels and reaction speed. Leisure activities and centres were on show, a free tombola and quizzes for a chance to win prizes, and the 2024 Berlin Senior Citizens Guide was unveiled.
From the outset, our vision for Atelier Gardens has been about breaking down silos and creating a creative home for all those keen to connect with pioneering initiatives for a more sustainable and equitable future.
That’s just as much about welcoming our closest community neighbours – young and old – as it is Berlin’s activist and impact community.
“The Seniors’ Fair attracted attendees from beyond district boundaries. Last year’s turnout was encouraging, and we were delighted to welcome numerous senior citizens from across the city to Tempelhof once again.”
