The Fabrix team took an afternoon out with o3e for a charity bike build in aid of two brilliant organisations, both of which we’ve been working with for some time – Hillside Club House and School-Home Support.
Working in two teams to encourage a healthy level of competition, the bikes’ wheels, gears, brakes, seats, pedals and handlebars were fitted following a series of quick-fire training sessions, interspersed with some cerebral and physical challenges!
Representatives of both charities were on hand throughout the afternoon and the bikes were delivered to their recipients the very same day.
Hillside Club House in Islington supports people with mental health issues from various London boroughs to make social inclusion and participation in everyday life a reality. Their bike is being made available to all its members for travel to job interviews and other day-to-day activities.
School-Home Support works with families all over the country to get children back into education and ready to learn. Their bike has been gifted to a teenager in Eastbourne who had no other means of getting to school.
“A big thank you from all at Hillside Clubhouse for the beautiful bike, and continued support of our organisation.”
